Hey Ewe! - linoprint

This is a print inspired by some photos of our old easycare flock - although the reality of gathering all the sheep in was never calm, this captures one quiet moment!

This is a very limited edition reduction lino-print. An edition of 16 prints, which cannot be reproduced. The design is drawn onto the lino and then the first cut made, inked up and printed. This process if repeated, cutting further into the lino and inking up with further colours, as the lino is carved each time, it is impossible to make more, as the final print has very little of the original lino left.

In 'Hey Ewe!' there are four seperate ink layers printed.

This is a variable edition, using two backgrounds of terracota and green.

In the very nature of printmaking, no two pieces will be exactly the same, so the piece of art you buy, will be unique to you. This is not mass-produced, it is hand carved, inked and printed in a very small studio in my house in Pembrokeshire.
