Pendant and Lydia - linoprint

This is Pendant and Lydia, two, from a herd of beautiful hereford cattle. Nothing better to cheer up your day than these two!

This is a very limited edition reduction lino-print. An edition of 12 prints, which cannot be reproduced. The design is drawn onto the lino and then the first cut made, inked up and printed. This process if repeated, cutting further into the lino and inking up with further colours, as the lino is carved each time, it is impossible to make more, as the final print has very little of the original lino left.

In 'Pendant and Lydia' there are eight ink colours, over seven seperate ink layers printed.

This is a variable edition, using three varied backgrounds of blue, grey and mauve.

In the very nature of printmaking, no two pieces will be exactly the same, so the piece of art you buy, will be unique to you. This is not mass-produced, it is hand carved, inked and printed in a very small studio in my house in Pembrokeshire.
