Two for Joy - linoprint

This is Two for Joy a reduction linoprint, depicting two lovely magpies and gold printed hand-carved lettering that reads 'two for joy'.

This is a limited edition reduction lino-print. An edition of prints, which cannot be reproduced. The design is drawn onto the lino and then the first cut made, inked up and printed. This process if repeated, cutting further into the lino and inking up with further colours, as the lino is carved each time, it is impossible to make more, as the final print has very little of the original lino left.

In 'Two for Joy' there are six ink colours printed seperately.

In the very nature of printmaking, no two pieces will be exactly the same, so the piece of art you buy, will be unique to you. This is not mass-produced, it is hand carved, inked and printed in a very small studio in my house in Pembrokeshire.
